Ganga Base – Yoga, Bhakti & Ayurveda Retreat | Rishikesh
A Yoga, Bhakti & Ayurveda Retreat
15–22 November 2026 | Rishikesh, India
DESCRIPTION:
This retreat is an invitation to slow down, return to simplicity, and reconnect with what truly nourishes you.
Set on the banks of the Ganga, at a quiet Ayurvedic retreat centre in Rishikesh, Ganga Base is a week of daily yoga practice, devotional singing, river rituals, nature walks, and time to simply be.
Our days begin with structured morning yoga classes led by Prashant Tewatia, focusing on clarity of alignment, breath, strength, and softness. The practice is grounded, intelligent, and accessible — supporting both physical vitality and inner steadiness.
A central part of this retreat is Bhakti.
We will gather regularly for kirtan with Shri Ram Joshi, a devoted bhakti yogi based in Rishikesh. Through singing, rhythm, and shared presence, we explore devotion not as an idea, but as a lived, joyful experience. Singing and dancing together becomes a way to open the heart, soften the mind, and connect — with ourselves, each other, and something larger.
Alongside yoga and bhakti, the retreat is held at Shanti Makaan, a boutique Ayurvedic therapy centre in the heart of Swargashram (Jonk Village) — within walking distance of scenic river paths, temples, caves, and evening aartis that we often visit together.
Each participant will receive 3–4 Ayurvedic treatments during the week, including traditional massage and steam therapy, supporting deep rest and nervous system balance. The therapists are experienced and attentive, and the space is designed specifically for healing and quiet recovery.
Meals are simple, clean, and vegetarian — prepared according to Ayurvedic principles to support digestion and lightness throughout the retreat.
Beyond the schedule, there is space:
- To bathe in the Ganga
- To walk through forests and quiet paths
- To visit caves, temples, and local markets
- To attend evening aartis
To rest, reflect, and integrate
Life here is intentionally simple. Clean rooms, minimal distractions, early nights, open skies.
This retreat is limited to a small group (max 12–15 participants) to preserve intimacy and depth. It is suitable for sincere practitioners who wish to experience yoga not only on the mat, but as a way of living — through movement, devotion, nature, and community.
Early booking is recommended.
